The brilliant folks at NBC made a good move when they converted their hugely successful weight-loss reality TV show, “Biggest Loser” into a real family affair. Now you’ve got brothers and sisters, husbands and wives, mothers and sons and fathers and daughters all teaming up to create new, healthy habits that will (hopefully!) last a lifetime. more…
FAMILY
I read a story recently about a family of four. Mom, Dad, Son and Daughter. Each night at dinner, Dad asked the kids what they had failed at that day. Every night the same question. There would be some disappointment from the parents if the kids had NOT failed at something that day. Who does that? As I read the story, I was more…
Dear Amy,
I hope you can help me out with a holiday dilemma. My kids are at that age where they are just starting to understand the meaning behind the holidays, but they’re still caught up mostly in the promise of presents. I’m partly to blame more…
Ever been accused of being a “selective” listener—hearing only what you want to hear? Communication between us humans is hard enough as it is, but we DO have it in our power to improve our skills. Guys tell me all the time that they have no clue about how to “figure women out.” I leave you then with this awesome post that proves learning about women from a 2-year-old is not nearly as crazy as it sounds. After all, when you’re two, you don’t have an agenda or life experiences that bias you one way or the other. It’s as pure a message as you’re going to find in this world!

If you’re like most “Stay At Home” parents, you have goals in addition to raising amazing kids and keeping your homes running smoothly. Maybe you have outside career aspirations like creating additional income, getting back into the workforce or working from home. Maybe you just need a little more personal time or would like to lose weight or get more physically fit. Or perhaps you’d like to create more quality time with your spouse or spend more time with your friends.
